Meet the  Elements of Elegance Event Planning Team

Dee Mitchell, founder and owner of Elements of Elegance, is dedicated to providing unparalleled consulting and planning service to ensure that her clients will have the event of their dreams.

Fourteen years years ago, Dee noticed a need for stylish,  knowledgeable, and detail oriented consultanting to help ease the pressures associated with planning a momentous occasion such as a wedding.  Known for her sophisticated style and her fun loving nature, Dee specializes in working with couples to ensure personalized attention. From the initial meeting until the last guest has left the reception, Dee provides seamless and creative planning to keep everything organized, relaxed, and focused on the meaning of the event.

When Dee is not focusing on her clients, she can be found enjoying lake life with her wonderful husband Mark and her two Boxers, Homer and Sophie.  She also enjoys spending time with family & friends over great food and wine.

 

 

Holly Kuyers is Elements of Elegance Lead Event Planner.  She joined the team in 2011 as Dee’s assistant.  Holly graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management  with an  emphasis in Event Planning.  She has multitude of experience planning events for the City of Holland as well as weddings with Elements of Elegance.

Holly is detail oriented and very organized.  This is the perfect combination that will create a couple’s special day exactly as they wish.   Her favorite part of a event planning is meeting the happy couple and seeing their plans come together.

When Holly isn’t working at Elements of Elegance, she enjoys spending time with her fiance Ryan and their Pomeranian named Jack.  Holly also enjoys planning her own 2012 wedding, going flying with her fiancé, and just being with friends and family.
 

 

Patricia Nahikian is a licensed Aesthetician, Professional Makeup Artist, and Certified Color Specialist.  For the last twenty years, her company, Spirit Custom Cosmetics, a custom natural makeup and image consulting firm, has been providing brides with professional makeup services. Through this experience, she discovered her love for being involved in all aspects of  weddings.  Her extensive knowledge of the wedding industry, created a perfect compliment to Elements of Elegance when she join our team as a Event Planning in 2009.

Her experience in reviewing contracts, developing timelines, designing amazing spaces, and collaborating with other wedding industry vendors is an asset to her planning clients .  Additional, during the most stressful moments of an event, Patricia is a calming force to those around her. 

When Patricia is not working on her many different businesses, she can also be found enjoying lake life with her two sons, Sam and Charlie.  She also enjoys traveling, fine cooking, and great music.

 

 

Lauren Hanson  joined the Elements of Elegance team as an Event Planner in 2012. She is a  graduate of Grand Valley State University with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations with an emphasis in Event Coordination.  Through the years, Lauren has gained experience collaborating with multiple wedding vendors including florists,  event coordinators, pastry chefs, and rental companies.  Furthermore, Lauren successfully makes each event a timeless and unique experience for the couple and their guests.

Lauren is very detailed orientated, organized and creative. While she enjoys the entire planning process her specialty is day-of coordinating.

When Lauren isn’t planning weddings you can find her browsing through wedding blogs searching for inspiration, playing with her new baby girl and spending time traveling with her husband. Lauren also enjoys baking, shopping, yoga and anything outdoors!

 

 

Sara Bos  joined the Elements of Elegance team as an Event Planner in 2012.  She is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, where she received her BBA in Marketing.  Sara has over six years of corporate Event Planning experience from Macatawa Bank, where she planned corporate events such as annual meetings, business luncheons, community events and fundraisers.  While at the bank, she realized her calling and true passion was in in Wedding Event Planning.  Working with Elements of Elegance for her own wedding, she knew she would work great with the experienced team.

Sara’s positive energy, attention to detail and creative skills will be an asset to the team.  She’s as enthusiastic as they come and has a passion to help make your event a complete success.  A life long Hollander, in her free time Sara enjoys the outdoors, ice cream, running with her yellow lab Elmer and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
