Thank you to some great people!!!

Monday, October 25th, 2010

I always get so excited when asked to collaborate with other wedding professionals when they decide to do a photo shoot to promote their business and/or products.  But I had never taken the time to actually do the same for Elements of Elegance.    So this past summer my dear friend Amy took me to task about this and I finally took the time to design what my ideal photo shoot would be.  And last Friday all my ideas came together in what I have to say was an amazing shoot filled with great people!  With that being said, I wanted to take a moment and thank a few special people that made this all happen.

First of all I want to thank the people that collaborated with me on my visions.  Without all of them my ideas would never have came together.

Patti of Sprirt Makeup for the amazing job she did on all our wonderful models.

Penny of Special Occasions for the wonderful linens that fit my design ideas to the tee.

Sondra of Sondra’s Ink for providing wedding stationary that was out of the world.

Sue of A-1 Rental for all the dinnerware, glassware, and flatware along with the help the coordination of the shoot.

Trish Grandler for catering some amazing hors d’oeuvres, entrees, and deserts

Christie Grabowski for some gorgeous hair

Tami of Septembers Bride for the multiple beautiful dresses and accessories

Daisy of Pixel & Hank for over the top accessories

Allison of Allison Bower Make Up for being my ear to bounce ideas off and also gathering items I needed

I also want to thank my amazing models that completed the exact look I was going for.  Without Sue & John, Lynell, Shannon, Loren, Delaney, and Jesse & Roger I couldn’t have done this. Thank you for allowing me to dress you up and play in an open field with me!

And finally and most importantly thank you Amy of Amy Carroll Photography.  Without your love, support, and amazing talent I would still being sitting here thinking about all the things I wanted to do instead of taking a leap and actually doing it

I can honestly say that I can’t wait to see the final pictures and share them with everyone!  And again, thank you everyone!!!

New Planning Tools

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

Yesterday I announced on our Facebook Fan Page that we are excited to share a new service to our clients. In the past few months I have been in search for new planning software for EOE and our employees. With today’s busy couples I knew I needed software that would help both our clients and us share information and communicate effectively. And as much as we all love email and chatting on the phone, an online sharing tool I felt was best. So after playing with many different ones I finally found the perfect solution that benefits everyone. So what does this mean? Well we will now be able to offer the following highlighted items with online planning workbooks for all our EOE clients with planning packages.

  • Inspiration Design Boards
  • Input of Guest List and RSVP tracking online – Exporting into Excel for Guest Escort Cards with ease
  • Manage Gift Registry
  • Event Timelines
  • Input of Budget and reminders of Vendor Payments
  • Online sharing of planning documents and notes
  • Manage Vendor information such as pricing and signed contracts
  • Designing of Personal Wedding Website

So excited to start rolling this out to our current and future 2011 clients!! Happy Planning!

Downtown Wedding Walk

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

Well the time of year for local wedding vendors to showcase their work and ideas via Wedding Shows has begun. Now when the typical bride thinks of a location of a wedding show it’s more times than not in a convention center or large ballroom.  But Tami of September’s Bride has taken it to a whole new level.  She and her team at Events By September’s Bride organized an amazing Wedding Event to showcase local vendors to West Michigan brides.  Instead of the typical large room that is filled with row and rows of vendors, the Downtown Wedding Walk provided local brides something different.  Our brides were able to browse all our services as they walked leisurely down the cobblestone streets of downtown Holland.  I was honored to be part of this great show this year as I showcased my floral creations.  Located in the beautiful Haworth Inn along with my dear friend Michelle from Events By September’s Bride and the great photographer Michael of Overbeek Photography we were able to share our knowledge with brides and their family on a more intimate level verses the larger shows.  It truly was a great experience for all of us that were involved.  I personally feel that the wonderful brides that we met with walked away with so much more than they do from the typical show. Thank you Tami for the wonderful job and thank you Jamie for hosting us at the Haworth Inn! I personally can’t wait for next year!
